RENT AGREEMENT

This Rent Agreement is made and executed on this [Date] at [Place] by and between:

[Landlord Name], S/o [Father Name], aged about [Age] years, residing at [Landlord Address] (hereinafter referred to as the "LESSOR / LANDLORD" which expression shall mean and include his legal heirs, successors, representatives and assigns) of the FIRST PARTY.

AND

[Tenant Name], S/o [Father Name], aged about [Age] years, residing at [Tenant Address] (hereinafter referred to as the "LESSEE / TENANT" which expression shall mean and include his legal heirs, successors, representatives and assigns) of the SECOND PARTY.

WHEREAS the First Party is the absolute owner and in possession of the property bearing address: [Property Address] (hereinafter referred to as the "Said Premises").

AND WHEREAS the Second Party has approached the First Party and requested to let out the said premises on rent, and the First Party has agreed to the same on the following terms and conditions:

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

1. That the Second Party shall pay a monthly rent of ₹[Amount] ([Words] Only) excluding electricity and water charges.
2. That the tenancy shall commence from [Start Date] and shall be valid for a period of 11 months.
3. That the Second Party has paid a sum of ₹[Deposit] as an interest-free security deposit to the First Party.
4. That the Second Party shall use the said premises only for residential purposes and shall not sublet it.
5. That the Second Party shall not make any structural additions or alterations in the premises without prior written consent.
6. That either party can terminate this agreement by giving one month's prior notice in writing.
7. That upon expiry of 11 months, the Second Party shall peacefully vacate and hand over possession to the First Party.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF both the parties have set their respective hands to this agreement on the day, month and year first above written in the presence of witnesses.
